Plano among best cities to rent in 2016



Plano, Texas, is among one of the best cities for renters, according to an in-depth study conducted by WalletHub.

Out of 150 cities ranked by WalletHub analysts, Plano was ranked as the sixth best on the list. Nine Texas cities including Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington all came within the top 50 on the list.

Scottsdale, AZ fell in the number one spot for the best cities for renters.

The study looked across 15 different metrics ranging from historical rental-price changes and cost of living to availability of jobs in the area. In addition to determining the overall best and worst cities, WalletHub ranked cities by rental affordability, cost of living, rent-to-price ratio, rental vacancy, paid-relocation jobs per labor-force participants, and safety.

Plano was ranked as having the second highest rental affordability rate, while Laredo and Brownsville, were among the top two cities with the lowest cost of living.
